Conwy and Gwynedd Citizens Advice Merge to Enhance Free Advice Services
Conwy and Gwynedd Citizens Advice today announced the successful merger of their long-standing organisations, marking a significant step forward in their commitment to providing vital, free advice to communities across both counties.
The unified service will continue to offer confidential and impartial advice to individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including issues related to money, benefits, housing, employment, and various other personal circumstances. Whether clients are navigating a personal crisis or simply seeking guidance on their options, the new, combined Citizens Advice will continue to be a trusted resource.
Chairman of the Trustee Board, Peter McGlory said, ‘This merger strengthens the ability of Citizens Advice to serve the people of Conwy and Gwynedd, ensuring greater accessibility and a more comprehensive support network for those in need. Charities across Wales have seen a decline in funders but with our new merged organisation we can continue to expand our offer to people in both counties.
People come to us with a wide range of issues and problems including debt, housing, welfare benefits and employment” explained Dawn Green, Chief Executive. “This merger allows us to combine our expertise and resources, making us even better equipped to help our clients find solutions and navigate complex situations. We are dedicated to ensuring that free, high-quality advice remains readily available to everyone in Conwy and Gwynedd.
The newly merged organization reiterates its core values: a deep commitment to valuing diversity, promoting equality, and actively challenging discrimination in all its forms.
