Years 4,5 and 6
Welcome to the junior class. Our aim is to create a nurturing environment where children enjoy learning, where they concentrate, persevere and are willing to give things a go. It is a class where children realise that making mistakes are a big part of learning. Learners in the class will also prove success through teamwork and develop essential communication and creative skills through various activities.
We have a wonderful classroom with plenty of space. The children’s ideas are used to plan our termly topics so that it interests them. The planning is based on the big question. We use focus groups to teach skills that learners need to answer the big question or solve a problem. Learners are given the opportunity to work in pairs, groups and as a whole class to complete a variety of tasks and to develop as independent learners.
